** Useful Scripts / Addons

There are so many scripts / addons available for your IRC client.
Thanks to the authors of the scripts you're able to make your client more advanced. Or at least add some
more extra's in it.

One of the few addons i have loaded for my client is the auto identifier
Such a addon is really needed. Therefore I would advice to everyone to use such an addon since
there are many channels on irchighway that doesn't want to have guest-nicks in their channel.
This addon below is a very, very simple and easy identifier. Just the way I like it :D

** Download the auto identifier here

Save the ai.mrc file in your "addons" folder (C:/sysreset/addons)

Every time you connect to irchighway and you have your nick registered, you get to see this:

NickServ wants you to Identify yourself every time (only if the nick is registered whether it's by you or by someone else).
Now the possibility exist that you get disconnected and when your client will re-connect automatically.
NickServ will ask you to Identify yourself again. Otherwise your nick will be changed. (look at the text of the example above)
To prevent Nickserv to chance your nick... you can use this addon.
It will automatically Identify for you when you connect to a server.

Before you can make use of this addon, you need to load it in your client. To do this, please type this in your status window:
/load -rs C:/sysreset/addons/ai.mrc

This is what you get to see next:

Your auto-identifier has been successfully loaded into your client.

Go to "Syreset" --> Auto ID

This window will pop up:

I already told you, this is a very simple and easy addon

Click with your mouse on: "Enable auto identify" and type your nick and password:

Now click on: Add. You can add more nicknames if you have them registered. When you're done click on: OK

If you want to check to see if this addon is actually working.... disconnect and then re-connect.
As we can see this addon automatically identify my nick for me, without me doing anything.

If you want to have more advanced scripts/addons, go to google or yahoo and search for identify addons.

Another addon that is very useful is Advanced Whois

** download advanced whois here

Save this .mrc file in your addons folder as well.
To load this script type this in your status window:
/load -rs C:/sysreset/addons/advancedwhois.mrc

Hit on Enter. You should get to see this little info in your status window:

If someone private message you and you want to know some more about the person who pm-ed you, type:
/whois nickname
I did a whois for Rosa Chinensis:

Thanks to this addon I can see in which channels she's in, if she registered her nick, to which server she's connected too and
if she's away or not.

If you want more options for such an Addon, feel free to search for it on the Internet.
